Cauy Lawes

My name is Cauy Lawes and I am currently in my 4th year at the UofA and 4th year in Ag Club! I grew up in East Central Alberta; the best part of Alberta in my completely un-biased opinion of course. I am very excited to be finishing up my crop science degree this year and even more excited to be the president of Ag Club for the upcoming year. Ag Club has meant so much to me over the past 4 years and I can’t wait to get back to a normal year with everyone!!

Aidan Krips

VP Social

Hey there! My name is Aidan and I am the returning VP social for the 2021/22 school year. Last year during the onslaught of the vid I was only able to plan a few online zoom parties so I’m pretty frickin lucky that the aggie squad is giving me a second shot. While the zoom parties may have lasted till 6:00 am at times, I cannot wait to put together the best year of events the club has seen (hopefully). I am from St. Albert, Alberta but have spent my summers ranching anywhere from Dapp to Rochester and everywhere in between. Hell, I could be a ranch hand the rest of my life and I’d be content. Love sports, playing guitar and partying! If you are new to ag club, come find me! I’ll buy ya drink.

My favorite thing about Ag club is hanging out with so many people who share the same passion and love for agriculture as I do! I can’t wait for another great year of IN-PERSON aggie events!!

Adriana Van Tryp

4th Year Representative

I am going into my fourth year of a Bachelor of Science majoring in Agricultural Business Management. My hometown is Burdett, Alberta. My passion for agriculture stemmed from the irrigated and dryland farm that my family is involved with. I love the Agriculture Club because it feels like my home away from home, at events I am surrounded by fun and like minded members and everyone is always down to have a good time.

Email me:

Lewis Rogers

3rd Year Representative

My name is Lewis Rogers, and the University of Alberta Agriculture Club’s Third Year Representative. Currently, I am going into my third year of a Conservation Biology degree. Since my first week of school, I have been quite an active Aggie and can definitely say some of the best memories I have so far from university have been at Ag club events. I grew up in a small town in southern Alberta called Crowsnest Pass. Often I could be found camping, fishing and hiking the beautiful mountains of the area. Although I do not directly come from an agricultural background, I have gained a great appreciation of the industry through my time as a part of the club. My biggest advice to anyone thinking about joining the ag club but do not come from an agricultural background or are not in an ag program, give the club a chance, come to some events, and quickly you will find out how welcoming and fun everyone is. I can’t wait to organize grad this year and meet all new members!

I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of the executive team, and I look forward to helping out however I can. This group is crazy but it’s been the time of my life so far, so I can’t wait to be a part of everything that this coming year has in store!

Addis Trang

Mens Sports

Hi, my name is Addis and I live in Edmonton, Alberta. I’m starting my second year of Forestry. I’ve always been fascinated by plants and would love to work in a field where I could conduct research or be surrounded by nature. One of my favourite parts about being in Ag Club is that it has the most welcoming kindhearted group of people you will ever meet. There’s also tons of cool events you can attend or be a part of. Highly recommend joining if you haven’t!

Hannah Whittal

Ladies Sports

Hi! My name is Hannah, and I’m starting my second year of a BSc in Agriculture, majoring in animal science. I’m from a small beef and grain mixed farm just outside of Legal, AB., where I am the sixth generation to farm. We raise Simmental and Angus cattle, and grow barley, oats, and canola. I am a former 4-H member, where I raised and showed Simmental cattle. Luckily, I am still heavily involved in our operations at home, so I get to experience agriculture all around me. I joined the Ag Club because I knew I could meet a group of friends who share my background, interests, and passions. This year I am the club’s ladies sports person, and I’m excited to be a part of it! I played many different sports growing up and am ready to get back to it. I look forward to having a great (and normal) year!

Brandon Wagner

Bar None Director

My name is Brandon Wagner and I am in my fourth year in the BSc in Agriculture program majoring in crop science. I was born and raised on a beef and grain operation about an hour west of Edmonton. I am super excited to be a Bar None Director this year! Bar None week is the best week of the year and supports a great cause in STARS! I love the lifestyle that agriculture provides along with the people that are in it. I wouldn’t want to be in any other industry! The University of Alberta Aggies are a great group of friends that are always down to have a good time! Ag Club is a great way to meet people with similar interests and has made my time at the U of A a great one!

Email me:

Anastasia Ambrose

Bar None Director

Hi! My name is Anastasia and I am one of this year’s Bar None 74 directors. I can’t wait to put on an unforgettable Bar None- after a year of isolation, our school needs an event to bring us all together, and what better way to do that than a cabaret for STARS air ambulance? I’m from Spruce Grove, Alberta and I grew up raising cow/calf pairs on a small farm. I’m keen with the books but I’m never far behind a good time. I may not wear boots and a buckle on the daily, but I can cuddle a calf just as well as any other farm gal.

Email me:

Bailey Dickie
